Melisa Tammi-Cheah completed her first degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, after which she moved to Singapore and managed a fitness centre for two years. She then moved Toronto to pursue her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Toronto.

Her work experience includes pediatric and adult, complex orthopedic and neurological areas of speciality at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto, and in private practice for the past 25 years. Her postgraduate areas of study include orthopedics, Bobath therapy and vestibular rehabilitation. She has a special interest in vestibular therapy, completing her training at Emory University as well as advanced training in concussion management.

Melisa is the Clinical Coordinator of Education at Balance Physiotherapy and regularly supervises physiotherapy students from a variety of universities around the world. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and holds an independent practice certificate from the College of Physiotherapists of Canada. Melisa has been an important part of our Balance team since 2006.
