Joined Balance Physiotherapy in 2017
Vanessa graduated from the University of Toronto in Kinesiology and completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University. She represented Canada in the sport of archery for many years, competing at international competitions including World Cups, Pan Am Games, and multiple World Championships. Through her involvement in sport, Vanessa developed a deep interest in physiotherapy.
Vanessa's approach to physiotherapy is based in the current literature and she relies heavily on listening to the client's individual feedback and goals. Throughout her education and work experience, Vanessa has worked with clients with a wide variety of complex neurological and orthopedic conditions. She has a very hands-on, active, and individualized approach to sessions. She is certified in Neurofunctional Acupuncture from the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program, credentialed in Part A: Lumbar Spine by the McKenzie Institute International, and has furthered her studies in pain science with Dr. Greg Lehman.
In her spare time, she enjoys eating, playing golf, and staying home with her cat. Vanessa is fluent in both English and Korean.
