Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)
Lexi is passionate about providing rehabilitation to help people achieve their goals. Lexi studied Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph and later pursued a Masters Degree in Physiotherapy in Dublin, Ireland. Lexi has experience working with people with complex neurological conditions particularly those with acquired brain injuries. Lexi also has experience working with people in an acute hospital following orthopaedic and thoracic surgeries.
Lexi completed research on stroke survivor’s perspective of cardiac rehabilitation following a mild non-disabling stroke. This research was awarded a prize with the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist and was presented at the UK Stroke Forum. Since graduating her degree, she has completed her Introductory to Bobath Therapy Modules and plans to continue to develop her professional learning. She is currently studying for her Canadian Physiotherapy Licensure.
In Lexi’s free time, she is passionate about living an active lifestyle which includes spending time outdoors, yoga, cycling and dancing.
